Professor Antoni Iskra, has worked at Poznan University of Technology since 1972. His field of experise encompasses combustion engines dynamics and diagnostics, piston-shaft advancement, hydrodynamic lubrication theory, computer simulation and modeling. While he was a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, he collaborated with Institut für Kälte- und Angewandte Wärmetechnik and Institut für Kolbenmaschinen where he lectured.
Professor Iskra has gathered his academic and scientific experience in the automotive industry and at numerous European universities including: Institut für Kältetechnik und Agewandte Wärmetechnik Universität Hannover, TRW Thompson-Barsinghausen, OBR Volkswagen, FH Braunschweig/Wolffenbuttel, University of Helsinki, Helsinki Continuing Education Centre DIPOLI, Uppsala University, Stockholm University, ETH - Zurich, ZHW - Winterthur, Woolverhampton University, BTU - Cottbus, FH Herlen, FH Aachen, FH Mastricht, Technische FH Wildau, Universität Leipzig, B&W - MAN, UT Tampere, FH Lugano, Paris University, Zilinia University, University of Florence, UT Porto, FH Luzern.
Professor Iskra is a member of various scientific as well as academic societies and associations both in Poland and abroad. He holds the most acknowledged membership in Societe Europeenne pour la Formation des Ingenieurs (SEFI) where he belongs to the board of management. He's a co-founder of Ethics in Engineering (EiE), Societas Humboldtiana Polonorum (SHP), European Association for International Education (EAIE).
Moreover, professor Iskra was appointed FAHRE JEP 2038 Coordinator. He has published over a hundred articles and scientific monographies including: Schmierverhältnisse in der Baugruppe Kolbenring-Zylinder bei begrenzter Schmierung der Zylinderwand, MTZ-Motortechnische Zeitschrift, 7-8, 1986; Ein Beitrag zur Kolbenringgleitflächengestaltung, Tribologie und Schmierungstechnik, 1, R.40, 1993.
